Pacific Coast Sportfishing Tackle, Boat & Travel Show February 16-18, 2018

The 2018 Season will kick off with the 9^th annual Pacific Coast Sportfishing Tackle, Boat, and Travel Show at the OC Fair and Event Center February 16,17,18. This year will bring the largest selection of top fishing boats and tackle our show has ever seen. Names like Boston Whaler, Parker, Defiance, Grady White, Thresher, Robalo, Klammath, and Power Skiff to name a few will be on display. Tackle dealers will be showing their new gear and having the best deals of the year. If you are looking to travel to Mexico, Alaska, or British Columbia we have you covered with some of the top lodges around.

If your game is to come learn from the pros and get the info to change the way you fish this season then our show is the place to be. We have compiled the top producing captians for giant bluefin tuna this last season.

Captains Duane “Diego” Mellor, Jay Krist,and Greg Trompas will light up the stage Saturday and Sunday giving you in sight on how to consistently catch these big bluefin. We have teamed up with Traeger Wood Fired Grills to giveaway a Tailgater Grill Package at the end of each of the blue fin seminars (must be present to win).

Have you noticed that toward the end of last season there were a handful of  Swordfish caught by recreational anglers deep dropping off Catalina, one angler got two in two trips? Well the techniques have been mastered and we are flying Captain RJ Boyle out here from Florida to let the cat out of the bag on tackle and techniques. Joining him on stage will be Captain Todd Mansur a multi generation commercial Harpoon captain to teach us how to locate the waters these swordfish are feeding in and how to approach them on the surface.

For our local seminars we will have a Bay 101 that some of the top competitive Bay Anglers will give you insight on making a day in the Bay top notch.  John Doughty of JD’s Big Game, Capt. Gerry Mahieu, and Bobby Martinez have you covered from all angles from live bait to tossing plastics its all there.

Those of you who love Catalina will be in for a big treat with Captains Joe Barian and Mark Wisch tag teaming the topic. Bring note taking materials as these guys have more combined experience at the Island then anyone! Another local favorite will be our Local Coastal Hidden Spots seminar on Friday will be Erik Landesfieind and Todd Mansur give out some local hot spots and how to approach and set up on them, priceless info. Sunday it will be Jimmy Decker and Dave Hansen on the same topic but with a different twist.
