Volunteers from CCA California and Marina del Rey Anglers Club recently released 3,700 juvenile White Sea Bass onboard the Betty-O out of Marina Del Rey Sportfishing.

Captain Mike Reinsch of the Betty-O volunteer the boat and crew to help successfully release the juvenile White Sea Bass outside of MDR via boat, rather than releasing them inside of the harbor and at the mercy of sea lions and other predators, giving them a chance. This method has been very successful for grow out facilities all around Southern California.

Lead volunteer and CCA LA Chapter board member Keith Moret wrote a fantastic summary for Western Outdoor News, which can be read here.
