CCA CAL, with the help of some sponsors and partners, collected much-needed toys and canned goods for the military families based in Camp Pendleton. The team was successful in collecting almost an entire van-full of donated toys and canned goods, all donated from members of CCA and the local community in San Diego.
This was a one-day toy drive, as we were posted up at Dana Landing and Fastlane Kayak and Sail Center. Anyone had the opportunity to come by and donate between 8am and noon. Also, everyone who donated were eligible to win a $100 gift card to Dana Landing, a $100 Salty Crew clothing pack, and an Accurate Fishing Pliers Package . A big thank you goes out to all of our sponsors for helping us make this happen.
The following Tuesday, all of the donations were made to the Toys For Tots Foundation, helped run by the United States Marine Corps. This was a part of the Oceanside Senior Anglers annual toy drive as well.
