Members from the CCA Orange County chapter took part in a kids fishing trip on the Aggressor out of Newport Landing in Newport Beach. There were well over 30 kids on the boat who each caught multiple bass and few other species of fish during their 1/2 day of fishing.
Mariner’s Church, located in Irvine, CA, collaborated with CCA CAL with a lot of help from Friends of Rollo to provide each of the young kids with lunch, rental gear, tackle, and whole lot of fun.
Mariner’s Church supports many after-school programs for children both from the Church, along with at-risk youth from their Minnie Street program targeting junior high kids. This fishing trip is one of the highlights of their entire summer.
