Last August, CCA CAL and Dr. Barbara Block joined forces to tag some giant bluefin tuna off the Southern California coast. Now, we will get to hear about what exactly happened and what we are learning from that trip. Join us at the Balboa Yacht Club on February 28th as Dr. Block and Paul Fruchbom give a presentation on this bluefin tagging project. Bill Shedd, President of AFTCO and CCA CAL Chairman, will also give his thoughts on speak to the group as one of the anglers who participated in the tagging as well.
This presentation will also serve as a quarterly meeting the CCA Orange County Chapter. We encourage anybody to attend, especially those who want to learn more about their migratory patterns, why they are here off of our coast, and how long we expect them to be here.
Dinner will begin at 6pm with the presentation set to begin at 7pm. Dinner is $28/person plus tax plus club fee, and reservations are required.
