During the month of August, CCA CAL, AFTCO and the Hubbs-Seaworld Research Institute (HSWRI) were campaigning for all heads of sport and commercially caught White Sea Bass to be turned into HSWRI. The entire campaign can be found here.

In summary, the Aloha Spirit, out of Channel Islands Sportfishing in Oxnard, contributed the most heads in the month of August. The boat is also tied with the Coral Sea out of Santa Barbara Landing for turning in the most heads that were previously tagged. The Aloha Spirit had the oldest fish at 8.5 years vs 5.5 years for the Coral Sea.
