CALL TO ACTION: Protect Sportfishing and Whale Watching Boats
The California Air Resources Board Invites the public to join a webinar to discuss proposed regulations that call for 179 commercial passenger boats to be removed from service.
Their public notice states, “staff invite you to participate in a public webinar to discuss next steps on the Proposed Amendments to the Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation as discussed with the CARB Board at its November 19, 2021, public hearing. The webinar will highlight incentive funding opportunities, discuss the approach for responding to direction provided by the Board at its November hearing, consider options for implementation and outreach for the program in the coming years, as well as plans for returning to the Board for a Spring 2022 hearing where it will consider approving the proposal.
