CCA California helped out in a recent release of over 1,000 juvenile halibut, that was put on by Hubbs-Seaworld Research Institute in San Diego. This go around, there were just over 1,000 fish, all sized between 7.5″ and 8″, that were released from the beach on Fiesta Island in Mission Bay.
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath, who recently authored AB 1949 in California to help expand the Ocean Resource Enhance and Hatchery Program (OREHP), was present for the release along with members of the media.
Last year, CCA CAL was part of a bigger release of 2,300 juvenile halibut that was put on by HSWRI. You can watch the video from that release down below:
