Wayne Kotow, a resident of San Diego, has a life-long passion for angling and conservation, and has worked with all facets of the fishing industry, from manufacturers to retail as well as the sportfishing fleet. He has also been on the board of directors of the Make-A-Wish Tuna Challenge for 11 years and has volunteered tirelessly to promote angling and conservation at other charity events, including the Poway Kids Fishing Derby, Crystal Pier Kids Fishing Derby, and Wounded Warriors events.

Chris Arechaederra
Assistant Director
Fishing has always been a part of life for Chris since childhood, fishing up and down the coast from Channel Islands, all the way down into Baja Mexico. Before CCA, Chris had started Black Diamond Sportfishing, a 6-pack charter operation out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from San Diego State University. His background includes marketing, promotions, communications and public relations.

Tonie Bangos
Assistant Director
Tonie previously worked on the Grande out of H&M Landing in San Diego, and also films and produces a weekly segment called “The Sportboat Roundup” featured on BD Outdoors. She also has held various positions in organizations like the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, the Alaska SeaLife Center, and also has been a volunteer with the Balboa Angling Club White Seabass Grow Out Pens. Before the landing in the San Diego sportboat scene, Tonie was a deckhand at the SaltWater Safari Lodge in Seward, Alaska. In 2023, Tonie obtained her 100-Ton Masters License from the United States Coast Guard. She also holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Marine Biology from California State University, Long Beach.
